What HR challenges do you face at N-SIDE?

“The trigger to use eBloom was the fact that we had to deal from one day to another with some remote work. People were already working from home a little bit before the covid, but it was only one day per week so it’s not the same. At once, we couldn’t see people for a long time. Some people never came back to the office (except during a short period of summer), so there are people that we haven’t seen for a very long time. It makes it very difficult to know how people are doing when they work from home, while it’s even more important to make sure we know how they are feeling when we cannot meet them at the office every day.”

 

How does eBloom help you in these challenges?

“We use eBloom for the engagement of our people because it allows us to take the temperature more regularly, compared to annual surveys which are not enough.

 

How do you use eBloom? How did the results you collected help you?

“At N-SIDE, it is key to use data to make decisions. The information collected is then really helpful to us.

Every quarter, we are tracking some KPIs in different areas (HR, finance, operation, etc.). For the HR part, we are tracking the engagement by using the eBloom index. It is something that we are reporting to the board members and to all the stakeholders of N-SIDE. We have a culture of transparency:

  • All the global results are shared with everyone in the company.
  • Each quarter, we present the data to all the directors to see how things are going in their department, what they need to focus on, and where they should put the priority. They can all access the results of their own team plus they have a comparison with the average of N-SIDE. This way, all directors are aware of what are the points of attention for their team and how they are doing compared to the rest. It is important to understand if a problem or a strength is specific to their department or if it is global to N-SIDE.
  • Directors also share insights on their department openly with their teams.

It is a good way for us to highlight issues at N-SIDE globally or in some departments. This nourishes the dialogue both between Managers and their team, and between Managers and HR. It generates some discussions and sets priorities. For example, being able to say “hey guys, the workload is becoming a problem here, please do something”.”

 

What do you like about eBloom?

👁 From an “admin” perspective: what is great is the whole dashboard feature. You can always launch a survey through other ways but then you don’t have so much in terms of score analysis. With eBloom, the analysis is nice and really easy to use. As an Admin, I just open the home page, pick a time period and I directly see everything on one page:

✅ how many subscribers do we have

✅ the participation rate

✅ results by engagement categories and by questions

✅ all the comments

✅ …

It’s just a whole dashboard all on one page, that is very clear and easy to use. You also have the chance to export the data in Excel, which is super helpful.

👁 From a company perspective: What is great is the fact of being able to monitor employee experience on a more frequent basis, which is key for us. eBloom allows us to prioritize and understand important insights about our employees.

👁 From a user perspective:

As an Admin, I also tried the “user” experience because I also have the possibility to answer the question as other participants. I think the tool is very useful, easy to use and reactive.

I even get the chance to use it even on my mobile phone thanks to the mobile application. It makes it even more simple and efficient, just a couple of clicks and then it’s done.

Also, the fact that eBloom can be interfaced with our Slack is user-friendly. This is very good that we can simply make it connected with the tools they use every day.

People’s reaction at N-SIDE towards eBloom went really well!

 

What do you think of the support provided?

“In terms of service, I don’t think there is any area where I feel like “I wish you could do this more”. Before we launch the Click&Bloom or right after, eBloom always does a check-in to see how it’s gone. We had a meetup in person where we had a report that was super nice. The quality of the support is there, eBloom’s team is quite reachable. Especially now it’s even easier, there is a quick chat box on the tool that I can use when I have a question. I used it already and the response is very quick. “
